As you may know, countries register their most precious heritage sites on a list maintained by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization  (UNESCO). Iran is among the top 20 countries on the list with 23 sites.  These sites boast awe-inspiring architecture, amazing designs, beautiful mosques and ancient reliefs. You are invited to visit some of the outstanding UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran.

Day 1
Arrive in Iran at the IKA airport, transfer to the hotel and check in. In the afternoon, we will have a visit of the city’s mountainous area Darband with its traditional style tea houses and restaurants. It’s a good place to see how the young inhabitants of Tehran pass their evenings. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 2
To get familiar with the history of the capital, there will be a full day city tour of Tehran to visit: The Golestan Palace Complex, Iran National Museum (also known as the Archeological Museum of Iran), The Grand Bazaar and The Carpet Museum. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 3
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive to Isfahan, en route visit and having lunch in the old city of Kashan and visiting the Tabatabaei House. Arrive in and check into the hotel. Overnight in Isfahan.
Day 4
Full day city tour of Isfahan known as “the Half of the World” among Iranians and visit: Naqsh-e Jahan Square, surrounded by four highlights of Imam Mosque, Sheikh Lotfullah Mosque, Ali Qapu and the Traditional Bazaar, Chehel Sotun Palace and the old bridges of Si-o Se Pol and Khaju. Overnight in Isfahan.
Day 5
Half day city tour of Isfahan and visiting some of the other most important highlights of the city: Atigh Mosque, Vank Cathedral and the Armenian District of Julfa. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Isfahan.
Day 6
Check out of the hotel in the morning and drive to the historic city of Yazd with its lovely mud-brick houses. Arrive in and city tour of Yazd to visit: Dowlatabad Garden and Zoroastrian Fire Temple. Overnight in Yazd.
Day 7
City tour of Yazd and visit of: Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Jameh Mosque of Yazd and Fahadan District. You will have some time in the afternoon to visit the Art Café in the Fahadan district and enjoy the lovely landscape of the city from its rooftop. Overnight in Yazd.
Day 8
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and head to the Iran’s most charming city of Shiraz, en route we will have a visit of the tomb of Cyrus the Great, Pasargadae. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 9
Full day city tour of Shiraz and exploring the most important sights of Shiraz: Nasir al-Mulk Mosque (also known as the Pink Mosque), Vakil Historical Complex, Eram Garden and the Tombs of Hafiz or Sa’adi. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 10
Excursion to Marvdasht in the morning to visit the remains of the great Achaemenid emperor of the ancient Persia, Persepolis and the Necropolis of Naghsh-e Rustam. Drive back to the city and afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 11
Drive to the south-western part of the country after having breakfast, en route visit of the ancient city of Bishapur near Shiraz. Arrive in the city of Ahvaz and check into the hotel. Overnight in Ahvaz.
Day 12
Excursion to the ancient city of Susa and Shooshtar to visit the well-known Iranian world heritage sites of: Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System, the Ziggurat of Choga Zanbil and Haft Tappeh Archaeological Site & Museum. Drive back to the city and overnight in Ahvaz.
Day 13
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and drive to Kermanshah in the morning. En route visit of the city of Dezful and the Tomb of Daniel. Overnight in Kermanshah.
Day 14
City tour of Kermanshah and UNESCO heritage sites close to it: Bisotun inscription, Taghe-Bostan and Takieh Mo’aven ol-Molk. Overnight in Kermanshah.
Day 15
Drive to Hamedan after breakfast and en route visit of the Temple of Anahita. Arrive in Hamedan and paying a visit to: the Temple of Anahita, the Tomb of Avicenna and Ganj Nameh Ancient Inscriptions. Overnight in Hamedan.
Day 16
Early morning excursion to the outskirts of Hamedan to visit the wonderful cave of Ali Sadr (which will take half a day from morning to afternoon). After lunch there will be a tour inside the city to visit: Ali Sadr Cave, Tomb of Esther and Mordechai and Hegmataneh Hill. Overnight in Hamedan.
Day 17
Drive to Zanjan after having breakfast and checking out of the hotel. En route visit of the city of Zanjan and the world’s largest brick dome of its time, Dome of Soltaniyeh. Arrive in Tabriz and overnight in Tabriz.
Day 18
City tour of Tabriz and visiting the most important attractions of the city: Tabriz Historic Bazaar Complex, the Constitution House, the Blue Mosque and El Goli Park. Overnight in Tabriz.
Day 19
Check out of the hotel and drive to Jolfa to visit the UNESCO heritage site known as Armenian Monastic Ensembles of Iran (consists of three monastic ensembles of the Armenian Christian faith: St Thaddeus Church, St Stepanos Monastery and The Chapel of Dzordzor) in the north-eastern part of the country. In the afternoon, we will drive to the picturesque village of Kandovan and have the overnight stay in its homes carved inside rocks.
Day 20
The morning will be at leisure so you can discover the village by yourself and in the afternoon, we will drive to Tabriz to Depart the country form the TBZ international airport.
