Overview

Alam-Kuh (Mount Alam) with an elevation of 4,850 meters is the second highest mountain in Iran after Mount Damavand. It is an ideal destination for most climbers, especially those interested in climbing up ice walls.

Mount Alam in Alborz mountain range is a blend of the Alps and Himalayas as the foothills are covered by greenery and lush forests while rugged cliffs dominate higher altitudes.

There are two main routes to climb Mount Alam in Mazandaran Province: The first starts from Taleghan and runs through Parachan and Hesar Chal, ending in Darjan. The second starts in Kelardasht and crosses Rudbak, Sardchal and Alam Chah.
